The main LT switchboard of a plant or building. A PCC takes power from your transformers and DG sets and distributes it to MCCs, distribution boards and large loads, with the switching, protection and metering in one lineup.

Overview
Every PCC we build starts from your single-line diagram. We size the main busbars, incomers and outgoing feeders to your connected load and to the fault level at the transformer secondary, then lay out the lineup so it fits your electrical room and cable routes.
Typical lineups have two or more incomers (transformer and DG), a bus coupler where the board is split into sections, and a mix of ACB and MCCB outgoing feeders to downstream MCCs, APFC panels and distribution boards. Incomers and couplers are interlocked mechanically and electrically so sources can never be paralleled by mistake.

Built and tested in-house
We cut, bend, weld and powder-coat the enclosures in our own workshop, then assemble and wire every panel to drawings you approve before fabrication starts. Before dispatch each panel goes through high-voltage, insulation resistance and functional tests, and your team is welcome to witness them.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a PCC and an MCC?
A PCC distributes bulk power from the transformer and DG to large feeders and downstream panels. An MCC is fed from the PCC and contains the starters that control individual motors. Small plants sometimes combine both in one lineup.
How do you size the busbars in a PCC?
We size them from the incomer rating and check them against the short-circuit current at your transformer secondary, including temperature rise inside the enclosure. The calculations are shared with the GA drawing for your approval.
Can a PCC take supply from both a transformer and a DG?
Yes. Most of our PCCs have transformer and DG incomers with mechanical and electrical interlocking, and optionally automatic changeover through the ACB motors.
Which switchgear brands do you use?
We build with the ACB, MCCB and meter makes on your approved vendor list. If you don't have one, we propose makes suited to your rating and budget.
